In addition to general classrooms, audio-visual classrooms, computer laboratories and library units, the Department also has laboratory space and facilities.

1.The fully-equipped and multi-functional laboratories--The Department has several laboratories, including three food preparation rooms, one practice room for making mixed drinks, and one cuisine room in which students can learn different cooking of Japanese, French, and Chinese cuisine.

2.The demonstration classroom--This classroom is a comprehensive model classroom that combines a variety of functions, such as cooking, baking and the making of mixed drinks. Students take courses that relate to food preparation, the making of Chinese snacks, beverage management, and so on. To maximize students’ learning, this classroom is also equipped with audio-visual facilities so that chefs and teachers can view the preparation of meals. This classroom is used not only for teaching but also for food preparation training.

3.Jia-Yuan, the laboratory restaurant--Jia-Yuan is a complete laboratory restaurant, which consists of a kitchen and a dining space that can accommodate 120 people. In the kitchen, students of the department can learn how to design menus, store and cook food, and serve dishes. In the dining space, they can learn management skills useful for careers in restaurants.

4.Life Tea, The laboratory coffee shop--The purpose of coffee shop is to provide a simulated but realistic environment in which students can experience the operation of a coffee shop. In the shop students can apply theory to real-life situations that utilize meal preparation skills, service skills, marketing strategy, budget control, human resource management, and business administration.

5.St. Sacred Hostel, the Teaching Hotel--The St. Sacred Hostel is now the Teaching Hotel. It serves as a real world laboratory for students to learn front office operation management and housekeeping management. It also provides accommodations for guests of University. From marketing to taking reservations, greetings to housekeeping, students may incorporate the academic theories into on-site hotel laboratory work.
